“Let’s help Tri-Cities residents shop local and find services locally. Let’s keep your business at their fingertips.” - Michele
Meet the Face Behind Sage & Steppe Consumer Guide - Michele York
Over the last several years, I’ve fallen in love with the Tri-Cities community. There’s something special here and I know you all feel it too. It’s a genuine sense of togetherness and that hometown feel, even as we continue to grow.
Of course, growth brings both opportunities and challenges. That’s exactly why I created this publication.
The Problem We’re Solving
As consumers, we’re bombarded with information daily. You see a great local business on social media, but when you need them later? Gone. Lost in the scroll. You want to shop local, but when you’re in a pinch, Amazon wins because it’s just easier.
Let’s change that.
What Makes Sage & Steppe Different
Sage and Steppe Consumer Guide combines the best of both worlds: Year-round social media presence to keep our partners top of mind and an annual beautiful printed guide with high-quality paper that sits on your coffee table, in your kitchen, or at your desk ready when you need it!
No more “I saw that somewhere...”; No more forgetting the name of that perfect local shop.
My Background
I bring marketing expertise with specialties in news promotion and business development. I’ve connected large corporations with nonprofits and helped grow successful programs for both for- profits and nonprofits alike:
Awards & Recognition
- Maine Association of Broadcasters: Best News Promotion
- Silver Stevie Winner at the American Business Awards
- American Advertising Awards: Public Service/Online Interactive
My Mission
Growing small business awareness in our community without breaking your bank.
What I love most?
Hearing the stories behind local businesses. What are you an expert in? What cause lights you up? What do you do for fun? These personal touches make all the difference for consumers. Some of my packages even include a pay-it-forward mention to a local nonprofit of your choice.
When we work together, everyone benefits.
Don’t get forgotten.
